* Denote events in which lighting and reflective gear is optional for riders finishing before sundown. NER strongly encourages lighting & reflective gear at all times.
Event details may change; check the event detail page a week before the event and again 1-2 days in advance for possible changes or updates to event.
Season Pass: A Season Pass is available for sale via BikeReg for $80 ($65 for NER Members). With a Season Pass you can pre-register for all events without additional fees and it saves riders a considerable amount of money and time if they plan to ride more than a few events. Starting in 2017 a RUSA Membership is required for anyone wishing to buy a NER Season Pass. Also, a $5 Day-of-event fee still applies to Season Pass holders if they do not pre-register for events via BikeReg.
NER Membership: A NER Membership supports our events and we offer a $5 discount per event for NER Members. Please see the NER Membership page for more details.
Pre-Registration: We strongly urge pre-registration if possible. By pre-registering you save yourself and the event organizer time at the start. Click the Register links in the above table to register online with BikeReg. Note that BikeReg adds about $3 to the event cost for each rider and event and requires a credit card.
Advance Registration By Postal Mail: We no longer offer the ability to register for events via postal mail — the paperwork involved puts too much burden on volunteers. Riders have the option to register online (see links above) or pay a surcharge and register day-of-event. Please contact the RBA if you are unable to register online.
Day-of-Event Registration: If you missed cutoff for advanced registration you can still ride the event by arriving at the ride start 30-40 minutes early and paying with cash or a check. There is a $15+ surcharge for day-of-event registration.
Start Locations: See the ride detail pages.
Required Safety Equipment: Bikes are to be equipped with a front headlight(s) and solid rear taillight(s). Riders are to wear a reflective vest or sash and reflective legbands. Full details on the Questions & Answers page.
Alternative Distance Option: Some rides have multiple distance options. Riders may only register for a single distance and will be considered a DNF if they switch distances mid-route.
Cue Sheet: Riders will be given a printed cue sheet at the start of each event. This is the only document which constitutes the official route. Preliminary cue sheets and GPS files downloaded from this site may be inaccurate and are unofficial.
Route Sanctioning: All events sanctioned by RUSA. See the event detail pages for ACP sanctioning.
